What is the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Outcomes Research Network (OFAR)?

OFAR is a secure, web-based databank for patient-reported outcomes (PRO) on foot and ankle disorders and treatments. By bringing together patient outcomes from foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons nationwide, OFAR will expand the breadth, quality, and availability of real world foot and ankle data.

What can surgeons do with OFAR?
  • Benchmark their outcomes data against other participating research centers in the United States
  • Measure the effectiveness of foot and ankle treatments
  • Contribute to prospective research to understand the difference among treatments

What can patients do with OFAR?

  • Provide feedback after foot and ankle treatment
  • Help foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons nationwide identify best practices and improve patient care

OFAR is open for enrollment! For more information on how you and your site can get involved, email ofar@aofas.org.
